Course

The inferior cerebral veins are located on the inferior surface of the cerebrum.

The veins located on the frontal pole and inferior surface of the frontal lobe empty into the superior cerebral veins – which, in turn, drain into the superior sagittal sinus.

The veins located on the surface of the temporal lobe empty into the basal and middle cerebral veins and drain into the cavernous or transverse sinus.

Supply

The inferior cerebral veins drain deoxygenated blood from the inferior aspect of the cerebrum (primarily the frontal and temporal lobes).
