The extensor digiti minimi is a muscle within the superficial compartment of the posterior forearm.

The tendon of the extensor digiti minimi passes through the 5th extensor compartment at the wrist.

  • Attachments: Originates from the lateral epicondyle of the humerus. It attaches into the extensor hood of the little finger.
  • Actions: Extension of the little finger, and weak extensor at the wrist.
  • Innervation: Radial nerve (deep branch).
  • Blood supply: Radial artery
